it either has a ecotec engine or a subaru engine depending on what year it is...

They're pretty decent cars from what i've seen

This car has a Saab engine/drivetrain designed by Saab. 2002 is the last model year of the 9-3 before they went with the ecotec.

I thought the only Saab with a Subaru power plant was the 9-2x.

the first gen 9-3's 98 or 99-02 had a boxer style "H" motor i should've said....its not a "subaru" motor but its basically the same as the ej20 except for with some better engine electronics...

I've had nothing but great luck with SC Eng. They are swedish car nerds. Plus they always have cool stuff over there to look at.

For the haters - what didn't you like?
