If a President can't take credit for what happens on their watch, what do they get credit? You guys are all toolbags that completely overreact either way. THAT is what is wrong with this fucking country.

Exactly. It is just a victory for the American and worldwide public to hang on to for awhile. Who knows tho, it might have a bigger effect than we could have imagined?

Regardless if you think the war was for no good reason don't sit here and armchair quarterback the situation like you knew better when everything went down. I'm sick of these "anti-war" types going crazy with there bs. Yeah your right Mitch we should have sat back and looked like a bunch of fucking pussies while thousands of our people were killed. No your right.

Actually, I'd say he is right, we are far more effective at special ops than we are at a war on terror. Wars on terror make enemies out of people that see us as invaders. Special ops makes terrorists dead.
True story...

Werd. It takes a few specially trained men to go in and do the specific job, the rest is just playing big brother to the world and for the people to have sound mind that we're "doing something" about it. And a few people were probably collecting intel here and there.

OR they will act like we just killed the only brains of the operation and they'll all scatter like cockroaches when you turn on a light

I was and still am against invading another country. I dont think anyone would dispute that. If that makes me an anti-war liberal ill own it.

I didnt know it would take a decade to kill bin laden but it doesnt make me any less right.

Plenty can be done without firing up the old war machine to put on a big show of force. Making it harder to hijack planes, plant bombs, and enter the country illegally have all done more to prevent terrorist attacks thn a full out ground invasion.

Take a step back and decide whether telling me to "stick to the weed smoking" is a road we should stroll down here. I realize at this point that there isnt much I could say about you that would surprise anyone but even I feel like some things are better left alone.
Thanks for refueling my lack of respect for you. I think I could make it another three years without acknowledging you now. Let us begin?

sending spec ops into foreign countries in the middle of the night would be viewed as an invasion anyway.but i agree with you, we need to pull back and not try to play world police as per the Truman doctrine anymore, I can't, and i don't think anyone else can figure out how to do it. Can't play the isolationist game (WW1, WW2) because if conflict does start, by the time we get involved half of Europe is gone we have to take it back. All of this is null and void if the UN does its job as the joint peacekeeping organization that it is supposed to be and not a 90% US funded and populated operation, but they are not.
