It's Midco. The company that registered the domain is the marketing firm that does all of midco's work. It will likely be the launch of their 100mbit DOCSIS 3 service in Moorhead and West Fargo. It's my understanding based on some conversations I've had with some midco employees that those of us on the $105/month 50mbit plan should automatically get bumped in speed to the 100mbit service.

Copy/paste off what they have on the xisnext website:

It's coming, July 14th. Meanwhile, here's a taste... keep checking back every day to learn more.

What's next are speeds so fast, you may want to wear a helmet. And capacity? Enough room for everyone. Like a rocket-boosted luxury liner.

What's next is the end of the one-size-fits-all internet. And isn't it about time?

What's next is capacity and power anyone can afford. Because we're pretty sure we all deserve better.

What's next is no strings attached. Literally. Get set for wireless options to fit the way you live, work and surf.

What's next is no figurative strings, either. In other words, no contracts to sign. Ever.

What's next is the power to expand. Get a new computer, tablet or console with new capabilities? We can add performance to match.

What's next is the end of spinning wheels, watch hands and everything else that tells you to WAIT. In other words super low latency, lag and ping.

What's next is transparency...we're not hiding a thing, so you see exactly how much bandwidth you're using, daily, monthly, whenever.

Auto Starts from $200 Installed! Lifetime warranty.

I confirmed it with a midco employee tonight that it is them. They are doubling all of their speeds and will be installing wireless hotspots around town that will be available for any midco subscribers to use. They are changing their name to Midconet Broadband or something along those lines and are going to focus more on internet service as "cable TV" as we know it is a dying platform.

I know that my 50/5 internet package will become 100/15 as well.

Are all of the modems (even the 20mbps) docsis 3.0?

If not the jump from 20 -> 40 would require new hardware.

Sad part is, Kirk is actually watching channel 539(The GayVN Awards) LOL.

I've gotten 31-32/5 so far...I think we only get 30 tho so I'm happy.

And Jim, we do have a 3.0 modem.
