So what is the deal on rain as it looks like a good chance Saturday.
Like if it rains a half inch or something sat. morning will there be racing later in the day?
What I am wondering is if the track dries fast or what your guys' plans are if it rains?
And if it rains all day Saturday will Sunday still be on?
Thanks! Just don't want to drive 400 miles and not get to run the car atleast once

whats the deal on camper spots with electrical? I am bringing mine up and need a place, if I could get in friday night that would be even better for me and zac so we wouldnt have to drive a bunch of extra miles and crash in someone elses place. Was also wondering if street tires will ever be allowed into the groove on street days anymore? My street car will unfortunately never run again if not since outside of the groove was terrible on Saturday.I would assume it will be the same as every single track in the country, street tires out of the groove, slicks in the groove. The track was fantastic all the way across.

That is false unfortunately.. Bradenton Motorsports in Bradenton Florida allows street tires in the groove right next to cars cutting 1.4 60 foots in them, so does Gainesville raceway and most other tracks outside of the sticks here in the Midwest.
Besides that point, outside of the groove at Sabin on Sat. was worse than launching on the street for me.. not sure if there is a solution besides buying slicks or maybe for street days upping the price

The track was AWESOME compared to every other time i have been to sabin, especially considering all the street cars dragging shit out there and eating it up
you should take note of all the VHT sprayed, shit on saturday evening you could loose a shoe it was so sticky, no lie
Big shout out to Ethan and the playtime guys, Charlie and the track guys, and TM! great event! great track and atmosphere!

What gives? This is because to go down the track you need to wear full leg'd pants and a minimum of a t'shirt (no shorts, tank tops, etc) and we had to as passengers wearing these to get out and they could ride with if they could find a t'shirt and/or pants.

Gainesville used to be my home track and I have never seen them run street tires in the groove, but anyway... Its unfortunate you had traction problems and I know Charlie wants every single racer to be happy but really the track was exceptional all the way across. I spent a lot of time on the starting line and it was very sticky. Slap a set of slicks on and you will be happier at the track anyway....

My street car will unfortunately never run again if not since outside of the groove was terrible on Saturday.Street tires will not be allowed to run in the groove, even on bracket days our regular trophy and sportsman racers running anything but slicks get coned and run outside of the groove. The entire track surface was prepped the same, only difference was the amount of rubber in the groove which is what we are protecting.
If that is how you feel I am honestly sorry to hear that, someone not wanting to come back is the last thing I want, but this is how I run the track and how it will continue to be run.
