download client
register and log in on the client
connect your xbox/xbox 360/ psp

and play your games online for free with other people, i am even doing it so if you got problems you can message me.

It works pretty slick, but Xbox Live is worth the $6 a month IMO.

i read in this one forum you can get xbox live either $1 or $2 a month but you have to renew it every month
