Drift event(s) at the fairgrounds in 2012.

So here is how the event would be run: 60$ entry fee(any money made will go towards mor events) there would be a driver cap at 20-25 drivers, which will allow for plenty of seat time for each driver. There would be 2 run groups, beginner and advanced. The beginner run group will be made out of drivers that are looking to try it out. The advanced run group will have drivers with a season or 2 of experiance, and caged/tandem drivers will be in that group. Each run group will go for 30 min and then switch, approximatly 8 hours of track time for the day. For the beginners there will be a few advanced drivers to help them if they are having issues with anything.
There will be tandem, but all tandem drivers will have a 4 point cage with door bars, and will have to be comfortable with who they are driving against.
If time allows at the end of the day we can have a fun competition of some sort!
If any questions just ask.

this would be cool to do... make sure you hit up all the MN forums as there are quite a few guys into it. Hit up NOS and see if you can do it on a weekend they don't have events maybe they will come down, and can bring some people with them. When I was at MAP it was the EPDC (Empty Pockets Drift Crew) that were waiting to organize more events and grassroots type of events. See if you can find a way to get a hold of them to get them involved as well, the guy I talked to was Eric Moen, and I know the NOS guy should have his number as I think he's sponsoring his car. Always cool to see more events around, just have to gets cars here for it which is always the challenge.

I would probably attend... Not exactly my thing but it'd be fun regardless. Maybe combined with an AutoX?

'05 Legacy GT Wagon... Not planning on AutoXing either, just thought there might be more interest with a combined event.

I'd show for sure, and auto-x if its available. 2 Day event, with some driving being done at night, add in a concert an boomza, annual event. I'd be happy to do some recruiting to get people to show up if this is actually going to happen..

I've applied for, and been granted a noise ordinance waiver from the City of Fargo before. Mine was just to show an outdoor movie at a block party though, it may be tougher for this kind of event. If you do apply for one, be sure to do it right - demonstrate that you will have the ability to "police" the event effectively. Maybe set a DB limit and say you be actively monitoring it during the event and will respond appropriately to any complaints that may arise, etc. You'll also want to look into whether you'll need to carry liability insurance, or if the faigrounds policy will cover you.
