How many ppl here live at home and pay outrageous amounts on a vehicle payment and insurance? No help from the parents what so ever. Posting this becuz im looking at picking up an 02 Jetta GLS 1.8T and we did some number figuring and its going to be about 508 bux a month with insurance and loan payment.how about if you post again after you've had the car for a few months and gotten several tickets, when your insurance company tells you that you'll be dropped after another ticket?
i hope you're not trying to get any sympathy, because paying $500+/month (what are you, 17? 18?) at your age for a car is stupid, especially when it's by choice. buy a $1000 car and save yourself a lot of grief -
before i moved to ND i was paying a lil over 800 a month for car and INS. i knew i had to pay it off b4 i came here though. now i only pay 93 a month for the can INS. which is helping out alot. but in a less then 2 months i am hoping to have another car and i will most likely have car payments. which is gonna suck, but i dont like to buy beaters! and i am not gonna have my gf stranded somewhere with the kid
but living on my own with all bills is ok, i still have a lil money in my pocket. dunno about 508 a month for another car though. i would have to get a night job to afford that  -

I know you guys are older and pay more. I'm used to being raped on insurance i guess. Just 500 seems like a lot a month. Ive always paid my own shit, so o well. Its just part of life i guess. Be about 550 a mont for insurance, car payment, and cell bill. I do live at home. This summer wont be so bad and im only gonna go to college part time here i think. So it wont be THAT bad. i dont know . Just thought id rant.

spending a year and a half in afghanistan wearing a "shoot me" sign on my back for an 02 jetta sounds like a piss poor trade off to me.
Dont get me wrong I have nothing but respect for our soldiers, I even have family in the service, but I would rather cut off my big toe and fake blindness then fight over there.

Maybe the people over there are also there for pride. Ever come to think of that?
