Its too bad they didnt make the STi a two door like the RS.....what were they thinking?

Yes they did actually. In Japan the 98-00 WRX STi Version 5 and 6 coupes are known as the Type R, and the 4doors are just regular STi's and then there are Type RA's which stands for (Race Application) and are 4doors but lighter, no pwr locks, windows, AC, lightened glass, lightened door panels, and the roof vent.

STi Type R and Type RA's are the ones w/ DCCD diff.

And the 98 Impreza 22B STi is a Wide body Type R coupe w/ a 2.2T in it and DCCD, and 17x8.5 inch wheels all around...this STi would woop your US EVO's and STis

Here are some pics of the STi's in Japan

First white coupe is a STi Version 5 Type R

The Blue coupe is the Allmighty 22B

Then the last is a STi Version 6, not a type RA cuz it has no roof vent, and on the left rear quarter (which you cant see) it wouldnt have a power antenna being as RA's dont have radios either

I still have it, i have a 95 Impreza L which is my new project car and am selling my RS, i realized i dont need to pay for an RS when i plan on doing an RA swap anyway so why have the payments? So i repainted my L trunklid for the RS and went w/ the wingless look to try to sell it and have my STi trunklid w/o the wing right now on my 95L.
