putting a box full of dry ice around your cold air intake is going to add about as much hp as one of those winnebago shitter exhaust fans in your throttle body.

You need a cold air intake just about as bad as you need a wing designed for downforce at 190 miles per hour.

A colder air charge means the air is denser, which helps the combustion process to be more efficient. How is that useless?

this isnt very money efficient more than likely. this is just about as smart and my buddys idea to hook a duct from his a/c to his intake, so he would have a cold super charger. LMFAO, stupid wheeler.

You guys are looking at this all wrong, its not meant for you to keep it full of ice all the time, its meant for when ur at the track, to lower your intake temps. It's not all that dumb. I think most of you have been out at Sabin, haven’t you ever seen a domestic with a bag of ice sittin on the manifold? It’s an old drag racing technique used for many years, alot of professional drag racers do it. No it’s not gonna move you into the 12's but every little bit helps.

I don’t even think that the domestic guys that put just ice on their cars purchase that at the track. Common sense would help here.

Common sense would help here.... where can you buy dry ice? I'm asking an honest question. Is it available in Fargo? Is it even legal to have by the normal person. These are all serious questions.

Oh sorry, I thought you were just...whatever. I know you can get dry ice in town. I think Menards has it, but I know other places have it as well. I have bought it before in town.

If you are going to have to recharge or refill your cold air intake all the time I would have to think that a smart person would realize you might as well be using nitrous and making hp.

DJ Im glad someone here isnt a fool who speaks of things they dont know about.

Chilling the intake is something that has been around for a long time.

Its not something for driving around all the time with, its for drag racing pure and simple. Mainly used on full on drag cars making high hp.

You can use regular ice if you want.

You can get dry ice at just about any grocery store and some hardware stores.

You throw some in a cooler so you have extra ice for the additional runs.

Any other experts got a reason for why its a stupid idea?

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!
