        Sounds like your having the same problem my accord has. The Idle Air Control Valve is messed up. Accords and I've heard Eclipses are bad for that. It'll cost ya about $250-300 to replace it.

          well its not your idle air control valve....if it was your engine would rev wayy high when you started it up...it went out in my monte not to long ago and it only cost me like 75 bucks to replace....but who knows whats wrong with ur car.

            Could be as simple as dirty passages in the TB. My wifes car would idle like ass until I cleaned up the TB a bit. Now it runs about as well as a Daewoo will run

              I am thinking it is my crappy ECU. I disconnected my battery for 5 mins and hooked it back up to try an remedy the situation. I think it will just go back to normal now.

                im not positive but I am guessing its your IAC, my car had the same problem when I got it. Take the IAC out (usually red part under throttle body) and test it I think it is supposed to read like 20 someting ohms between the little progs in there. Mine had 0 ohms on one gap and that told me right away it was bad. I am guessing yours finally took a crap when it was at really low idle and is stuck there.

                  I found how to test:

                  take out battery and remove 2 8mm head bolts holding IAC on. When you unplug wire it the IAC progs will look like this:

                  1 2 3

                  4 5 6

                  test 1-2, 2-3, 3-4, 4-5, 5-6

                  and it should read 28-33 ohms

                  good luck

                    I think I am going to do this as soon as I can find a damn Ohmeter or whatever it is called. I think I am going to replace the o2 sensor also.

                      you can get a cheap digital multimeter at walmart for like $15...i think you might have to find it in the home electric section not sure tho...

                          I checked the ISC and everything was fine with it. I disconnected the battery for 30 mins so I have to wait a few days to see where the idle is going to be at.
