Hey everyone, I don't really ever post here, but I'm on NorthernAnimation, I post there all the time...
Anyways, I have my red 97 plymouth neon sohc 5 spd coupe up for sale, its got roughly 105k miles(replaced the cluster so I would have a tach, lost count of the miles, but the most miles it would have is 110k...) The exterior is in great shape other then some little dings here and there... It had 2 new front tires when I bought the car back last june or july I think...

Iceman Cold Air Intake
ATX 52mm throttle body
MPx Underdrive Pulley
Prothane Motor Mount Inserts
JLM Shift-Tight Shifter Bushings
Maddog Short Throw Shifter(33% redux)I have debadged it and put in some fog lights...
Also painted the interior red and black...It has nitrous all hooked up in it right now, but has never been used, I installed the kit, opend the bottle, blew a hole in the main line, sent the main line back to nx, and I just received my new line a few days ago, but I'm not gonna put it on the neon since I'm selling it...
I'm asking $2500 for the neon without the nitrous kit...If you want the kit I'll leave it in the car and also put the stereo stuff in with the car, but I'd ask $3000 then...I've got some 12" kicker subs/amp and a sub box, I only paid $110 for the stereo from Jay(PUREVIL)...
It is a quick little car, I've beaten a few tsi's, eclipse's, also a couple civics here and there, I recently beat a 93 turbo v6 ford probe gt
I'm pretty stoked about that for some reason, also I've beaten a couple spec v's...I just had it at the 1/8th track this past friday, my best e.t. was a 10.305 @ 69.980 mph...It was my very first time racing, I know it can do better then that, after a lil more practice and getting used to the track I know I'd be right around 10 flat...and that was full tire pressure on street tires, no weight redux, a lil extra weight laying around, pump gas...

Aright, I know I don't ahve enough posts to be an active member, tahts why I just stated that I post on northernanimation up here from minot all the time, Ive got like 290+ posts or somthin, my name is the same name on that site, I said that just as a little reference...
Now, here are a few pics of my neon...
And yes, I have beaten a few turbo dsm's, dsm's arnt exactly the fastest fucking thing in the world, and yea, my SOHC neon does have 132 hp ""STOCK"", but, the car is not stock, and it is a quick little car, well not if you are comparing it to srt-4's and sti's and all you people that have $20,000+ invested into your cars, what was your guys first car? I highly doubt you guys started off with a first car of an srt-4 or an evo or sti...Unless your a spoiled little bitch, then I guess I could see you having that kinda car...
The car did run a 10.3 in the 1/8, but it was my first time at the track, so I'm sure it could get a better time with some practice,but of course thats not fast, but thats with street tires, no weight redux, pump gas, no nitrous, and my car doesnt have that much bottom end...
I do have a video of me racing a stock tsi, when I said I've beaten tsi's, im not talking a modded to hell talon...
Here is the video of me racing that tsi, the tsi was stock except the intake he had...
Right Click, Save As:I prolly shouldnt post that vid cause I don't want to seem like a cocky asshole, but I know that person would kill me now, he is pushing like 16psi now and some more mods, and the person flaging was dennis(TWEAK) and the guy filming was Scott(RICKY) from roadsounds...

Hmmm I dunno about beating a stock TSI... I can hardly hold a stock TSI from a dig and im running low 8's in the 1/8 stock and my first gear is extreamly long and I have hardly any low end power... I can push a low 15second pass out of my car stock for the 1/4... and so can a stock TSI so I dont think your racing people that know how to race to well.
BTW stop whoring threads just so you can post your car for sale.

i agree. i wouldnt mind taking a crack at this neon. id like to see what its got.

Northern Animation has no affiliation with this site, so your post count there really doesnt matter. I'm sure you have a 5000+ post count on the neon forums, but does that make you an active member who actually contributes something here?
Ok so, Stock DSM's aren't the fastest cars in the world. Yeah we already know that. 210hp from the factory.
You have 132 hp stock. Lets look at your mod list:
2.5" exhaust
Chikara Header
Iceman Cold Air Intake

MPx Underdrive PulleyWe're looking at perhaps a 10-15 hp actual gain from those mods... I know I know the package you bought prob says you gained 30+ hp from each....
Personally, my first car was a Non-Turbo 2nd Gen Talon. It has the DOHC version of your neon motor in it, and no, it wasn't fast, and no I couldn't have beaten turbo DSM's. I had exhaust, intake, all the normal ebay components.
Anyway, you obviously didnt read any of the rules of the forum, nor do you care to obide by them. I won't ban you, becuase I'd like to see some of your responses. Honestly though, we don't need another kid who hates on people who are lucky enough to have their parents help them out with thier cars. Whoop dee fucking doo. The majority of us, buy our own cars, buy our own parts, and don't rip on people for having things we don't have. Welcome to life.
Good luck selling your car! I'm sure somebody will want a plymoth neon that has been raced alot!

You manage low 8's in the 1/8? What is your 1/4 mile time? Shit, my best 1/8 mile was 8.1 last year (Harvey...1/8 mile track, no 1/4 mile time to follow) and my best 1/4 mile last year was 13.1 w/ a halftrack time of 8.4.
I think you're mistaken about your 1/8 mile times man, cuz it seems very very odd for me to think that in stock form you can hang w/ the Mod ET class (Harvey's Mod ET is 7.0 to 8.99) when all the cars that showed up for that class (except me :D) last year were trailered in and highly modified musclecars

Well perhaps im wrong I havent ever run a 1/8th wish i could find one of my timeslips from last year and see what my half track was. But I ran a 15.5 @ 91.5mph with a 2.1 60ft last year all stock with traction controll fucking ruining my launches. I have the T/C bypassed now but havent been able to run it since then... dont care to waste $30 to do it either on a stock car with all season tires on it ( crap continentals blew after 20k miles ) and a slipping clutch.
