89 turbo hatch for sale... again
-
here, i will trade you my car for yours, as my car sits(with the paint materials), for your car without the stereo. Your car is missing a couple interior panels, and it has messed up carpet in it, and no rear seat. My car is only missing carpet in the interior.

sorry holden, the only reason i wouldnt have traded my car with turbo kit for your car is because i truthfully dont think its worth it to trade for yours with kit, thats all, i would trade you with rims and seats, but thats it, for some reason i just dont think its worth it

^^^^Holy Crap, and i thaught i was nuts for asking $4500 for my car painted. This is how i price cars, take the value of the aftermarket parts, half it, and add it to the book price. The reason why i half the price of the parts is due to the fact that they are used, and used parts arent worth alot no matter how long theyve been on the car.
If i do that with my car it is about 2500 the way the car sits. Than half of 3500 for parts is 1750. So 2500+1750=4250
With your car its about 1800 for the car tops on kbb. Than you have about 4000 in parts on the car, so half that = $2000. so $1800+2000=3800
Not tryin to be an ass or anything, just giving you a general way to price cars.

Sorry harwood, but I disagree w/ your formula. My theory is that if the car books at $5000 and has 1500 worth or aftermarket parts, the car is worth about $4000 to $4500. Reason being is that most people want to do the mods themselves w/ parts they selected OR they just want a plain stock car to drive. The exception might be all out race cars and all out show cars.

Agreed. Aftermarket parts do not add value to the car. Especially when they are ricer parts.Think about every 1G you see around, shit they'd be like 10,000 if they followed your formula
If people were to sell the fast 1g's around town....they would ask 10k prolly!
