    best bet would be to call or just stop over at straightline, that way he can see what all is involved.

      Or go to any exhaust shop in town there is like 50 of them.

        But find out from all those normal exhaust shops who all uses mandrel bent piping.

          just spend the extra 2-3g's and get a full stainless steel seamless exhaust.

            i didnt get mandrel bent piping or anything, but i got a 2.5 catback for the del slo for $75 (piping was 65 and weld the muffler on was 10)...the place is called custom exhaust and repair...i just went there cause the slo isnt what i call a performance car, just a fun lil ricer...go to wherever you think would be best for you though.

              what are you doing with the car? do you just want noise? running n2o? turbo or sc? if you're planning to make more than stock power, then spend the extra $$ and get mandrel-bent piping. but... if you don't want to make more power, then buy the cheap press-bent stuff

                I am just working on upgrading my car and i want to get mandrel bent piping.

                    Again, I'm going to refer you to this http://www.fargostreet.com/showthread.php?t=1100 thread. SLS could certainly do it for you, Type-R could as well. SLS would probably be able to get you in quicker, but Type-R might be cheaper.

                        I will vouch for SLS too. I got mine done there and I love the way it sounds as well as how it performs.

                          I went to sls today and they said they could not do 2.25 inch piping for my car, only 2.5 inch. I really want my car to have a mandrel bent system, but on cavalier forums everyone says that 2.5 inch piping is too big unless your going with forced induction, and i dont have plans for forced induction any time soon nor do i have the money.

                                  You still have a cat, the backpressure is still there... 2.5inch vs. 2.25...

                                  I highly highly doubt your going to loose any power from having larger exhaust, more likely it will just be more high flowing.

                                  Here's the thing though, your not talking about freeing up much hp either way from bolting on exhaust... so whatever you do you prob wont notice a huge difference. If your looking to do it cheap, just visit somebody like muffler man and have them press bend them as it prob wont even make a huge difference anyway

                                    I'm running 2.5 inch on a 1.6 liter engine. I certainly didn't loose any power by doing so. If you cant afford it right now, then hold off on doing it untill you can. I know how it is to want to get it done especially with the parts right in front of you, but I also firmly believe in doing it right the FIRST time. Don't mess aroud with pressbent pipe. Alot of times, the actual pipe diameter is down too well under 2" inside diameter when the bends are made and your exhaust only flows as well as the smallest piece will allow.

                                        My muffler has a 2.25 inlet and then my cat. has a 2.25 inlet and outlet. Would that be a problem with 2.5 inch piping.

                                          I'm still stock also except for the air filter/adapter under the hood. You gotta start somewhere.
