Lime green on 240 = ghey
      V8 in a 240 = ghey

They ruined everything that is a 240

actually, there has been much discussion about this recently in a few 240 forums. sad to say, a V8 will not ruin ANYTHING htat is a 240, just more of it. The Ls1 with all its fancy pants aluminum parts and what not wiegh in at just a few pounds more than a KA. hard to beleive, but its true. also, with the V8, you can set it further back and lower to the ground in the chassis for a lower C of G and set it back for better weight distribution.

now, this car has ruined anything that is Silvia (high RPM, high hp, low torque SR20DET) but when you compare the characteristics of an LS1 engine to, oh say, that of a KA24DE, its all things the KA is, just a lot more. low end torque and a low redline (comparitively speaking)

          Hence my "$.02" quote

To say it will not ruin ANYTHING is a little over the edge. You have to understand that you are taking out the heart of the 240/silvia and replacing it with an american motor... Could it be faster, yes... could it be better balanced, yes... but does it belong in the car? Was it an option for the car? I PERSONALLY feel that it is sad to go for an AMERICAN V8 over the SR20DET.... Should you put skyline taillights in a Cavalier? No!! Should you put an LS1 in a 240? NO

          To each their own...

The least they could of done was shave off "corvette" on the motor....but I still think an american V8 shouldnt be in that car....

                        Good lord.

The car is clean as fuck, built, and amazing, it's a very nice car.

And for the record, just because you can out a "Bigger" motor in a car, doesn't always mean you should. 😉
