Bingo 🙂 as for me not racing. Too many horror stories of people from Muscatell Subaru being at the tracks and denying warranty if they see you there. Considering my piston rings just got warranties I'm thankful I didn't as the labor cost would've been tremendous. I don't want to do aftermarket internals either since I am selling the car.

what are you talkin about? i wasnt mocking anything...i was simply stating that he started in a higher gear...pretty much every auto you can select the gear your in and shift when you want...and i dont really see how i was pwned or owned...either way

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

I wasn't directing that all at you, but a lot of people mock my shiftronic auto. Everyone can shift, but that's gay, the whole, 1-2-D or whatever there car is. I hear that's also really hard on the tranny, where mine is not. I can hold higher RPM's easier and smoother. Usually they only have like 1st and 2nd gear, I can do it with any of them.

i can do it with any of mine too...it shifts more firmly when you shift yourself which is better for an auto underload

I support shiftronic its kinda like a quick shift my dads drag car. I would still rather have manual but it is better then full auto.

Too bad they still suffer from larger power losses than MTX cars. I want paddle shift personally 🙂

Thats (paddle shifter) on my list after/when I get my valvebody done...that and TC lockup mod, should help eliminate some of the losses normally associated w/ autos.

I always wanted do a TC lockup mod on my old Z24 and everyone laughed at me. Said it wouldn't do anything. I always thought it would work nicely.

Anyway, what are the dangers in doing it? I imagine shifts become pretty hard.

from what I have heard, you want to lock up after you are done shifting gears, otherwise (I would imagine) it could be very hard on the transmission

Good point, I have trouble w/ traction being AWD and around 300 WHP, can't imagine what you FWDer's are going thru.

i'd have to say traction control is pretty worthless is some vehichles...i drove a z06 and had TC on and i could still burn the tires good!

when they were referring to "TC" above, they meant Torque Converter, not traction control...just to clarify

traction control is a term reserved for those, and only those, with ricer listed as a member status..you are not allowed to straddle the line so plese move either to your left or right...thank you.
