9/11

Did anybody else realize that today is 9/11?? Its strange but I remember EXCACTLY where I was 4 years ago today...
I was at south walking to auto class and I started to notice that every room had their tv's on. I finally noticed one room had CNN on, so I stopped and started watching....had NO clue what was going on. But I was just in time to see the 2nd plane crash into the other tower.

i was at my locker at south between 2nd and 3rd period. some guy said planes crashed into a building and i just sorta laughed thinking he was either joking or it was some little private plane having problems. little did i know...
its hard to believe it was only 4 years ago. it seems like a lot more than that.

I did the same thing, some kid told me that a plane crashed into the WTC and i thought it was just some small little plane and laughed it off as "oh well 1 stupid pilot dead" come to find out it was the biggest thing that'll happen in my lifetime as of right now.

I was watching "Recess" before work, it was interrupted by a special report. it took me 2 years to see the rest of that "Recess" episode.
p.s. it was the yo-yo episode.

I was on my way to class and seen the TV's on in Study Hall.

i lived in seattle and i just woke and walked into my dads office to see that the world trade center was up in smoke. man it was 4 years ago.

i was getting to school at agassiz as the secong plane hit. we watched the news all day except for foreign language survey. she wouldnt let us watch it because "it did not pertain to us as north dakotans". so i called her a stupid nazi (that was badass for seventh grade). i sat in the hall for the rest of the week, but the class got to watch the news during that time because it became important to us....bitch

Yup, 2 dates I remember very vividly.. 9/11/01 and 2/1/03 (columbia)
9/11 I woke up and was getting ready for school and my parents had left one of the news stations on the TV (and had left the house)... Was half groggy and didn't believe it was happening..thought I was seeing/thinking things. Went to talk to the guy I know at the local body shop and asked him if he knew anything about it.. He was as shocked as I was when I told him. Finally got to school and we watched CNN all day that day (and much of the next IIRC).
And columbia...it was somewhere around 7:30am IIRC sitting on a buddies couch in MPLS watching TV waiting for him to wake up so we could go work on a car. I sat glued to CNN for 2 hours that morning.

I was just getting done with my first period(gym/weightlifting) and the I was walking through our commons in my highschool and the big screens were tuned to cnn and they were going over the coverage. Its one of those things you'll never forget.
