My brother was in Corpus until this morning. I called him last night and he said that people down there are very well prepared for big storms as far as getting out of town goes. He flew out this morning, thank God!This is gonna be another big one

As a Louisiana native and someone who still owns a home there I just want everyone to know that there is no party like a hurricane party. These pics were a buddy and me riding out hurricane Gustav. Basically you just get drunk, eat everything in the fridge and freezer, laugh at how much mother nature is a pussy, and pray that you don't get blown away. Afterwards you just drive around and look at all of the flooded streets and do some crawfishing. (Setup traps along flooded road ways and they will fill up within minutes)
My entire family rides out the storms. Last night my mom made a pot of gumbo before it hit so that they could use of some of the food in the fridge. :icon_thumleft:
Find whatever you can to drink
Find alternative forms of light around the house
Enjoy the high water and downed trees (There were lots more but these were all I could find)
