Yeah have fun w/ that one. You'll probably have to pull the whole spindle off of the car and have the axle pressed out. Or if you can find the special tool made for doing axles, use that. It is sort of like a pulley puller, but it bolts onto 3 of the wheel studs, and then has the bolt thing in the middle and it will turn in to push the axle out. After all of this, don't be surprised if you need a new wheel bearing.

well id get a puller, that would work much better than a hammer, you will just mushroom the axle if you hammer too much, also try a blow torch to heat the axle up! I had the same problem on many 2g's so take my word and get a puller

ok i went to about 5 different auto parts stores trying to get this damn thing, they all want to sell me a cv shaft with 2 male ends, mine connects to the inner shaft with a female end, is this right? i need one with abs, and for an awd, with 5 speed, any one know a part # that might be able to help me out? I have the oem one, but no one is able to cross reference it.(mr145597) I am really pissed right now.

I just got one of those axles from M&J (Carquest) on main. They got the right one the first time, and it was only $50 after the core.

Make sure you are letting them know it's for an AWD, Driver's side with equal length system.

Advance #6751 with ABS or #7927 w/o ABS. $80 for the axle minus core charge.
