I don't think hes putting all this work into it to resell it. His dad knows more about cars than most. He just sold His cougar to get money for this car. He wants to drive this car. Not resell it. I also believe there is a little bit of self-satisfaction knowing you and your dad restored it rather than buying a new one. It's also the meaning of father-son bonding, and satisfaction in the finished product that must be figured into it's final value, not just resale.Except for the fact that he said that he's told numerous people he plans on driving it longer than the cougar but plans on selling it, taking only 2000 off the blue book value, and buying a porsche to fix up. He said his goal is to have a porsche before he graduates, so it is for the resale as well from the way he's talking, although he changes his mind a lot.
