O really??? you think that i believe my 100hp car is fast??? NOT...im just saying that the clutch grips hard, thats all...there's no need to slam me about it man...remember, we are talking about cost effectiveness...i think the exedy stage 1 is 280+ tax last time i checked...???...mine was a little bit less than that and im extremely happy with it...sorry for voicing my opinion about the matter, but i thought thats what this is all about

P.S. GET THE SAND OUT OF YOUR VAGINA!!! you dont need to be pissed cause somebody said somthing you dont agree with "HOLY FUCK PEOPLE"

Why would you want a ceramic clutch on a car that doesn't make any power? Organic is going to last longer and be easier to drive.

I like my ACT clutch alot i heard that if you wash the pressure plate with soap and water it keeps it clean so thiers no clutch chatter. Anyway if you have everything out and apart it would be a good time to upgrade. Also i've heard of people that have had problems with an organic clutch, just a thought.

about the only thing i can add to this thread is that you misspelled two words in the thread name 😄 j/k.

for what my opinion is worth, i would go with exedy stage 1. just for the sole fact that your getting a good quality product that has been tried and tried again. if your sure some of these other "cheaper" clutches will perform to the level you need it too. then go ahead and try them.

if you notice, all the DSM guys say ACT... and all the honda guys say Exedy... Does any one get the drift here? exedy=good for honda, act=good for dsm. I would go with exedy if i were you harwood. like Nick says, you aren't planning on anything more than 200 horse, so why make it harder on your foot? save money and do it the right way!

                  no race car? becuz homeowner...

Why did you pull the engine again? To take out the clutch?

ACT is good in Honda too, I just had bad luck with them.
Collapsed two pressure plates and broke two disks.

I have an Exedy twin disc in my car now and it has been amazing so far!

Exedy is the best! Why the hell would you want a 6 puck unsprung clutch? If you are going to be N/A, then you don't need it.

i got mine because it was cheap and works VERY well...its not hard to drive at all...stock pedel feel with just a slighlty harder engagement...its hardly harder to drive than an exedy stage 1 and not NEAR an exedy stage 2 in toughness...i drive it daily and love it

btw, i got it because i wanted something that engaged harsher than OEM honda, and clutch specialties was the cheapest i could find. also, people on h-t like them too. so i didnt just go out and buy some brand i had no clue about.

i pulled the motor because the bearings are shot, and i just happened to find out the clutch was gone when i pulled it off the flywheel. I am going through the motor and rebuilding it, and its not going to be stock, but its also not going to be extremely fast. I would like to know where i can find a stage 1 exedy for 250.

harwood, just get the setup for $420 like you were saying before...that way there's no looking involved, and its a good deal too...
