As many of you have probably read, I traded my mustang for a 96 Camaro Z28, it has some mods on it already they are, This is my 1996 Camaro Z28. Its my daily driver and a very fun car to drive. Currently set up for road course racing. It has a LT1 with a 6speed manual.

ITS BLUE but not a 5 spd, ITS A 6SPD!!!!!

Engine and drive train mods include: lower rear end gears, 373's, headers, 3in flow master exhaust, slp cold air intake, slp airfoil, Granetelli Mass air flow sensor, emissions systems bypassed, and headers.

Suspension Mods inlclude: Hotchkis control arms, Hotchkis panhard bar, Hotchkis Strut tower brace, SLP rear sway bar and LS1 front brake upgrade.

Exterior Mods are: Wings West body kit, Wings West rear wing, Euro tail lights and WS6 Wheels.

Interior Mods are:B&M shifter, Hurst white shift knob, leather, etc.

I know I want to get a short shifter, I dont know what kind(suggestions wanted)
Thanks everyone, all your input and help is greatly appreciated!!

You stated that it had a B&M shifter in it already. That in itself, should be a short shifter. Unless, it's just a shift knob. Either way, B&M and Hurst both make excellent short throw shifters for your car.

From the factory it has a B&M shifter, but the hurst ones are a shorter throw, but there about $150. Please do not put any vinyl graphics on that car, they look so bad. The only mods I had planned but didn't get to was I was going to do a LT4 conversion and rebuild the engine, but thats what I was going to do this winter. Now I am going to do it to my 94 Z28, because that engine is locked up and it has a 6-speed too.

Talk to lloyd, his website is www.eportworks.com . He will set you up with a good H/C setup that will put you in the mid to low 11's.

A couple of websites toget your parts from are www.thunderracing.com, www.summitracing.com, and www.lmperformance.com.

I would also join or look through www.camaroz28.com there is alot of useful information on that site, and alot of people that know what they are talking about.

Come on man, don't get his hopes up. He will not be hitting that without a good amount of suspension mods, and a lot of weight loss.

I say aim for low 12's. High 11's.

Well its gettin underbody lights and it has carbon fiber tails, but theres no way It will have anything APC!!!! I am going to supercharge it, thats my main engine mod that Im gonna do for sure, I havnt got a chance to look to much into any other performance parts, but its gettin all momo interior parts and also gonna put a fiberglass system in it. probably put some eibach sportline springs on it and tint the windows too.....open to suggestions

I want both, but I will be saving for the supercharger and hopefully get it in a year. I got the underbodys for free so I will put them on what smaller cheaper mods can I do to give it more hp?
