dixie carbonics for the dry ice
EDIT: we bought some about 3 years ago for dry ice bombs. You have to buy a minimum of 8lbs i think but its really cheap.

You might get some for free if you ask around at various grocery stores. There frozen goods usually come packed with dry ice. They did at the store I used to work at , at least. All they do is throw it away.

its like 1.50 a lb

neither carbonics or dixie carbonics are in the phone book i just looked in. Maybe its called something else but you should be able to look up some place that sells oxygen tanks and find out

Yeah I would ask grocery store's, the one i worked at in high school used to give it away to people if they'd ask for it ahead of time..

If you're at NDSU, just go to the Chemistry department. They've got a freezer full of dry ice - just tell them what it's for (or make something up) and they'll give it to you. I think it gets billed to the department that you say you're from. Tell them it's for reserch & they'll help you out.

Anyone know the address of this place? I'm on campus and don't have a phone book nearby.
