Sentra Show Car???
-
This is worse than the thread started to get all the ricer parts. What real value does this thread even have? You want to put the cheapest parts on a car you can, and whore it into a larger peice of trash than I am sure it already is. Why not just use the damn thing as a winter beater and stick some cash into your mullet-rod.
Sure you say its about what you like. Then why post this garbage all over this forum for us to have to deal with???
Mabey you should aply your own shit to yourself???

Wow so much hatred, I like the Sentra better then my Camaro, no I wont be selling any of our cars. And whats wrong with working on more than one car?? Also Yes next winter I will buy another winter car. Oh and just to make an update, I got my muffler welded on today, sounds sweet!! Also I got Blue signal bulbs installed and an APC Billet antenna so I can hear the radio.....
-
I want to hear that muffler. LOL Thats good you like it. But umm...liking sentra more then camaro. I am going to have to say big negative man. THAT IS JUST FRICKED UP. sorry no one in there right mind would like the sentra more then the camaro. hmmmmm....

Its amazing how many people hate others ideas. If he wants to try to make a snetra a show car whatever. He will regret (I HOPE) cuz he has a camaro with a shit load of potential. I think im going to go over there right now and pound it in his head not to go to crazy on this thing.

You know something? I don't usually say anything to people when they want to do such things to there car. Usually I would tell all the naysayers to let him be and let him do what he wants. But I have to draw the line somewhere. The things that you plan on doing to this car is pure crap. I'll put it this way. If you can go to your local Advance auto parts go to the ricer section and buy all the parts you mentioned, (which you can) then your car will not be considered a show car and will not get the respect you think it'll bring. It will be worth even less when your done than when you started. that shit is just a waste of $$$ if you ask me. Just my $.02.

blue turn signals=illegal. Must be amber.
You asked for what its going to take to build a show car, I gave you an honest answer and didn't rip on you for it. Please do me a favor and at least listen to my overall advice, I watch the show scene as much/more than most people do and think I have a pretty good pulse of what is going on in the industry. Simple bolt-on items won't win car shows. Not even in fargo. Notice that one of the nicest cars on this site (Tony West's 350z) only took 3rd place at the Perfect 10 show. I'm pretty sure he has more into his rims than you do this car....not including the exhaust, headers, ARC Titanium radiator shroud, ARC Titanium Strut Tower Bar, Seibon CF Hood, Seibon CF Hatch (GORGEOUS PIECE), etc... Yeah, he's in your class at shows and he doesn't win. Difference is, he won't quit until he does. He doesn't care what it costs or how long it will take to complete, he strives for rare and impressive parts. Not APC. So, if you REALLY plan on making a show car out of this vehicle, be advised that it will cost several thousand dollars (probably over $10k) and none of the parts that win the show for you will be from APC or similar companies.

I'm tellin you guys give up.

I just needed an antenna and I like blue bulbs they are better then yellow, as for the antenna it will be shaved off when I get it painted. I never said nething about winning shows, I just want to be able to enter the shows respectably (sp). I do plan on putting a lot of money into this car, I will still work on the Camaro just not as much its already pretty nice.

!Mustangdude; in your situation this is what I would do in my opinion.
First off, don't buy cheap parts like APC... Like Tjamz said; buy Name brands, they are more highly recognized and normally you also get what you paid for. If you are really seroius on making this a show car, don't piece it together piece by piece; since I'm sure this winter you'll be driving it. Not saying don't buy parts over winter, cuz do that, just don't install them. Wait til you have everything or good portion before you consider putting it on. Since it's a 92; I'm sure a lot of body work may need to be done & this would probably also include interior work. A 92 prolly isn't in the best all-around shape. With waiting to install parts if you find out it's not worth the project, you have a good chance of reselling everything, especially since it's name brand products. I'd personally probably start with rims and tires. Nothing cheap.... Also I'd take into consideration of doing this before you enter a car show.. Engine Swaps? F/I, Professional work on body kit, and professionally repainted. Just a few thoughts, but look at this way, the more it looked like you spent on the car, the better it'll look...
but for now, I'd stop the modding and just drive it thru winter... Cuz you never know if you'll realize if it's just not worth turning it to a show-car.. -

They look like shit and are a hazard to others on the road, since amber is for turn signals, not blue. APC shit does not make your car respectable at all. It will look exactly like what people think of as a ricer, pieced together.
Also, where are you getting the money for all these parts for the Sentra and Camaro?

Ya Im gonna have the kit installed professionally and the car painted profesionally too. As for the swap, down the road after the body is complete. The body is actually good for a 92 lil hail damage to hood, but I am gettin a CF hood, and a lil rust on it but its all surface rust. THe interior needs new seats and headliner and carpet, which would all be replaced anyways so not to bad
