I am about to start a huge dvd copying spree this weekend, but I have a problem. I have a desktop with a dvd reader, and a dvd burner(2 seperate drives!) and I use Nero, and dvdShrink. It wants always to save it to the computer before I burn it, but that kinda defeats the purpose of haveing 2 dvd drives. I was wondering if there is any way to just read from the dvd and instead of saving an ISO file, or making a temporary file, to just burn it while its reading. Thanks for your help.

I dont know of any other way. When I'm finished, I just delete the file.

That's what I do; in face I'm copying/bruning some now..

Just let it upload/burn to disc..
I'm sure you can maybe do it from Drive 1 to Drive 2 like you want, but...
Who knows, I figure this is the best way incase you want it on your computer too..

I use DVD Decryptor to rip the DVD, use DVD Shrink to edit the crap out and then burn from Shrink to Nero. Works great....but it does leave a data file behind, which can be a good or bad thing...

What about DVDs that automatically pop up & give you options to view websites and stuff.
There's one that I can use Shrink on.. Stealth is the movie..

No you cannot do that. Burn on the fly is not possible. Here's why.

Most Commercial DVDs are DVD9, the DVD's we burn that aren't Dual Layer are 4.7gb...

DVDShrink actually re-encodes the files and then saves the output in to vobs... Man this shit is so simple compared to what it used to be back in the day using DeCSS and all that bullshit....

So unlike CDs where the data stream can just be copied, there is actual information that has to be processed / encoded here, so no you cant do on the fly recording.

There are ways but it gets considerably more complex then using DVDShrink...

you said you were using nero. if you're using nero 6 or 7, you don't need dvd shrink. just use dvd decryptor to rip all the files of the DVD to a folder on your hard drive. then use Nero Recode to re-encode the DVD and take out the parts you don't like. I personally think it works much better then dvd-shrink. And nero recode is updated all the time, unlike dvd-shrink which hasn't been updated in a long ass time. And with nero recode, you can save the file as an iso/nrg image on your hard drive for later burning. Or if you have a dual layer DVD burner, you can just do a 1:1 copy of the dvd, which means you can just do a straight copy. No ripping, converting, etc.

Doesn't DVD Decryptor work on Stealth?

Stealth and Unleashed both don't copy, there are several ways to get around it but its not worth the time
