The guy who took them pics must be photoshop genius if it's fake.
The F&F guys will do anything to sell a movie and putting a skyline motor in a mustang isn't beyond them. I guess we'll see when the movie comes out. -

I love how all the domestic guys are haters........lol. Even if it is photoshopped it would be unique and different. I know that Rx-7s get the ls1 put in them and miatas get 5.0 mustang motors. Dont see us tuners complaining. I am sure with the proper internals and big turbos that think would be quick. Just my .02, always going to be a hater out there no matter what. BTW I love my domestic winter beater.....

Every forum I have seen this topic posted at has inevitably run down to an argument over the motor platforms (that Nissan motor vs the 289/302 platform). The Nissan motor is lauded to have stronger materials for the internal parts, but is ultimately too expensive to use in a real competitive environment for anyone besides the most sponsored of competitors or those with large suitcases full of money. The Nissan block can handle more boost, and is more forgiving at higher RPM, but starts breaking the bank when Murphy's law applies.
So basically the Nissan motor is argued to be a better motor for street and some casual weekend racing, the Ford motor for more serious competitive use. Keep in mind, when getting more serious about competition, whatever you use is going to break. Period.
This is what I have gathered from reading a few other threads. Personally, I will never be 100% sure, because I have not owned one of those Nissan motors and therefore have no experience with it.
99slowGSX, I highly doubt a 5.0L would be a downgrade in your car, unless of course you insist on leaving things as equipped from the factory.

well not exactly...the RB26 is arguably one of the best platforms ever...And I argue the 4.2L carb motor found in Jeep YJs is one of the best platforms ever

Maybe we could throw that one in that old Mustang Fastback and go crawl some rocks

My 4g63 walks most 5.0's on the road alrady.....:p . So I am assuming that it is a downgrade.Um, is this at the track?

Would a 97 Eagle DSM have the 4g63?
