I don't think I've listened to the radio for more than a couple minutes in the last 2 years. Fargo stations suck ass.

Also people who have XM do still listen to FM sometimes.

why would you listen to a local radio station when your paying for good stations with no commercials??

free xm membership

They had a goodbye thing for the last hour. They explained that it was a local corporate decision and not a national decision.
The best part was before they signed off for good they said "Oh, By the way, Q98 still sucks!".
And that was it.

So is it going to keep doing 10 sec. clips or will that change. I see thats what it is still doing.

suck....the dam used to be the only thing that kept me going at work this summer
-
The new station doesn't go live for awhile I don't think.
-
wow.. that's really a downer...
If for whatever chance I'm back at my old job this summer, I really hope there's a decent new channel to replace 104.7. Spending 10-14 hours/day, 6 days/week listening to the radio.... usually on 104.7..
(there's only so much country and girlypop I can handle in a day...)

y93.7 is where its at

This whole 5 second stuff has to be the most annoying gimmick they could think of. A song comes on, you realize what it is, and just like that it's over.
Bah, I never really got to listen to The Dam anyways since my office radio doesn't pick it up. It was a great station though! I bet a new station will replace that genre of music fairly soon.

i heard second hand a while back that ryknow (if you play in a band in fargo, you know ryknow), got invited to tour with some major band and for whatever reason the dam couldnt stay on air. i think the same person told me that it'll end up being a light rock kind of station.. but i dont remember for sure.
