I personally woudn't get your hopes up with a Minnesota 240SX, that's where I bought my first one and it had some rust in some bad places.
A friend in GA has a fastback in GA for under $2k, not sure on shipping.
HOWEVER
He can also get you a 100% legalized JDM S13, both Silvia and 180SX for around $4500. Title that reads Silvia/180SX or whatever. Want an R-32 GT-R? He's selling them legalized for $13-15,000. He currently has an R-32 GT-St for sale, legalized, $6,300 (but that's for GA shipping). He is also the supplier to Top Hat Industries for their cars, including their latest R-32 GT-R.
Here's pics of the GT-St

Here's the last chuki 180SX he imported and sold.

In the second pic what is that?We wern't sure what it was, haha!
As far as MN/ND legalization, I am not sure. I know they are 100% legal in GA.
Sean (the guy that I'm getting all my deals from) runs the business, Takara Motors.

idk peter that seems a little fishy to me...its not that easy...I know the guy personally.
He buys the cars in Japan, the other shop legalizes them, and returns them to him for sale. In turn, the legalization shop gets a discount from him.
You know me Tony, I wouldn't back someone if I didn't feel it was legit.
I'll go ahead and say it here, if my 240 lasts this whole year, I'm seriously thinking about getting an R-32 GT-R from him when I get back from my next deployment in 07. I'll be getting it from him.

its just not that easy tho...theres somethin thats going on there that doesn't make sense tho...why would a guy in washington D.C tell me that it is impossible to skylines into the country legal(well as 1 piece not as a kit car)...the mods needed to make the skyline legal are a trade secret held by motorex exclusively...if someone else would have done the crash testing etc it would be pretty big news in the import world...it would be an answer to problems of the people whos cars are stuck in motorex right now...i mean granted i haven't talked to the in D.C. in a couple of months so things could have changed BUT the way it was i don't really see that happening...idk my take on it i guess
