F*CK State Farm!

[QUOTE=Skrewed_Lude]Very true, but 85% of progressives claims they source out used parts all over ND and MN and go A/M if not used. When there paying for the repair the insurance company will usually get there way. I have had State Farm and Country and both are great for different reasons, and Im sure progressive is good for some people, but ive deffinetely seen them screw some over pretty badly. A/M and Used parts and not blending panels is how they make there money.[/QUOTE
95% of parts used to fix vehicles are aftermarket. What exactly is wrong with using a fender off of a car that happens to be in a junkyard? its all sheet metal, hell sometimes its not even metal. whats the difference where the hunk of metal came from? Any other business would source out the cheaper product and in this case quality is not even a factor.

IMO, Progressive insurance company is a rip off in the end. I'm dealing with their bullshit right now. Only go through Progressive if you ABSOLUTELY have to. It's worth it in the long run to pay a little higher premium, so that you don't have to deal with Progressive's bullshit when it comes to them paying to fix your vehicle. Progressive WILL NOT pay for OEM body parts if they can save by paying for aftermarket parts. I even called up the state insurance commissioner and she said there's no law or anything she can do to get me OEM parts. So keep this in mind when choosing new insurance. If you ever do end up getting your car wrecked, it wont ever be the same unless you fork out the extra money to get the PROPER parts and have your car fixed the right way.
edit Progressive is good for people that are in a pinch like yourself though. They will probably be cheaper than most places, but it's up to you if it's worth it in the end.

i had that problem when I had american family insurance........they wanted to use used parts. Most insurance companies try to get buy as cheap as possible.

Every insurance company i have dealt with used used parts. The parts they would be replacing would have been used so why should brand new ones be bought? I wouldn't settle for aftermarket parts but whats the big deal of used oem parts?
-
I dont know, I think its pretty fair, I mean your car isn't brand new, its USED.
If you were spending your money on it, I'm fairly sure all of you would get an aftermarket bumper or an aftermarket fender, rather then blowing a shit load of money at the dealership for it...

some of you guys will put a worthless bombz muffler on your car but you will throw a fit over a fender that has not been boxed up by Honda?
what about a cf hood or aftermarket rims? I know all of you rock the $5 dollar knock off K & N air filters....

Your not even 18 yet, I assume you didn't get your license until you were 16, so have been driving only 2 years, 3 accidents and 2 speeding tickets is a bad sign to the insurance agents. I'm not flaming you at all, your cool and all, but this is what they look at for their business perspective. All in all, start shopping around, but with this much of a record, itll be hard to find another company to have a lower premium, let alone, even take you as a risk (we are all risks to them. PERIOD)
I second that!

I have the same thing going on. Both of my parents think that since I bought my car, I should have to pay the "correct" amount of insurance based on my driving record, even though it will cost me an assload more money. I guess I just need to chill out a little on the driving, but all that stuf was within the first 9 months I had my license, what can I say the Vigor was a race car! I have learned my lesson by now tho. Anyways, I am meeting with state farm tomorrow to see what they can do for me, because my dad called the agent and told her that if she doesn't get a better rate, we are switching our home, life and auto insurance to a different company! maybe there is hope.
