1080P's are still really new, and whoa, spendy! seems like alot more just to get more fps.
im looking to buy a 32"+ LCD for my room for a TV and computer monitor...HD for sure, due to the fact that im going to use it for computer purposes also....
quite honestly, my ED plasma with a 1080i signal and regular component wires still blows me away whenever i see it, and its been over a year.if any of you fargo guys get discovery HD, check it out. that channel blows any other away in terms of picture quality.
any recommendations on a LCD? im looking to spend about or under 1k.

I went and saw the insignia. It was OK. I saw the toshiba, it was REALLY nice, but a little bit too spendy. It was weird. Some of the 16:9's were cutting off parts to the left and the right that the more expensive ones were showing. There's a setting on most TV that handle the "stretch". Non HD programs are 4:3 so fitting them in a 16:9 screen can be handled 3 or 4 different ways...

I see.Also. The insignia was looking really nice, but it's 38 inches wide, and I need one smaller than 35.5.

I've been looking at smaller LCD's lately too and from what I've seen, the bigger name brands have much better picture quality than the off name brand tvs. I'm personally leaning towards the 23" LG LCD TV. There are 2 seperate models of that tv, the difference being that one has a built in DVD player. If I buy it, I'll be getting it through Team since I just happen to work there. If you guys are looking for a Sony, LG, Toshiba, just to name a few, stop into Team and take a peek. I went to Best Buy tonight to look at what they had, and they have a nice selection also.

Everytime I come in there I always look at them. great quality tv choices IMO and prices arent to bad either.
