Anyone want to test drive a new GT or Saleen? I worked there for over a year and know some people there pretty well. The Saleen would be kinda bitch to take out but the GT would be simple. And if they ever bring another used cobra in I can get a test drive in that too.

The saleen (the one I ended up buying) I took out for a test drive without having anyone from the dealership even with me

    ๐Ÿ™‚

They got 2 GT's in the showroom, 1 red 1 yellow. I LOVE the interior of the new GT's.

The saleen n2o they have is the exact same as mine except for the new frontend(05 focus obviously), decal(the reverse c off the mustang, boo), and interior(focus switched to square-like shapes instead of circles). For some reason on the new one they used saleen leather seats (nice seats but not really what you think of when you think "racing seats")

I think next time I'm there I'm gonna see if I can take out the 05 n2o and see if I notice any other differences. I'd also love to drive an SVT once(I heard they aren't making SVT Foci or Lightnings anymore??!?!? is this true?!)

n2o the saleen he is talking about would be a saleen mustang not a focus ๐Ÿ™‚

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

            roush>saleen

No Lightning (or Focus either I believe) from the SVT team for a couple years now by the sound of it. Putting all their effort into the 06 Cobra.

I wish they'd hold onto the Lightning and crank it up for 05 to take out the SRT10 (for $20k less)

SVT focus is done for... there have been rumors of a boosted version coming in 07 with all the engine work done by cosworth... which would be NICE! Although the new focus styling in europe is ugly.

SVT Lightning is still on track for an 06 release... at least from what I gather from various ford forums.

Roush IS SHIT! Crap all the way... all looks no go. The Roush Focus is priced at $27k and all it is is a 2.3pzev with an exhaust, suspension, and the rest is pure looks. Hell its only putting out 10 more hp and 10 more tq over a stock 2.3pzev.

Anyone that thinks Roush is good should be executed. SVT and Saleen put out much better cars.

                I ride random bitches.

I've never been a big fan of Roush..always thought Saleen was nicer (And this is speaking of a purely roush mustang vs saleen mustang) And obviously I liked the saleen more than the roush

the only good thing I have to say about roush is their aftermarket sales of their parts totally blows saleen out of the water. Which isn't hard to do since saleen's page doesnt even list half their stuff and the half they do list, most don't even have pictures of descriptions of the products!

Cosworth..mmm I plan on buying the Stage 1 kit this winter...don't know about stage2/3...since cosworth d power 1-3 are focused(tee hee) on NA power and I want a turbo as soon as they have a kit for the duratec engine

wow.. and I KNOW there are people that would say the same thing about someone who likes Saleen.

Screw Saleen....Steve's got a bad rep out there with the way he runs business...
(and the ugly ass domestic rice body kits on their cars)

I'll agree, SVT puts out good cars....hell the best of the 3 IMO (especially since the unveiling of the 03)

                    on the SVT L....
"It's a business decision," said Alan Hall, SVT spokesman. The official line is that the Lightning has been "postponed," and not killed, but if it is revived, it will be 2008 or later before we see one.

At least saleen adds performance to their cars. I havent seen a roush car yet that was fast. Saleen adds speed along with their rice bodykits.... Roush is purely RICE and uglier then saleen. Both are over priced and ugly... but at least the Saleen can go faster then the roush.

                        Roush is purely RICE

                        incorrect.

                        and uglier then saleen.

Matter of opinion. IMO, the saleen front facia looks as if it belongs on a honda. Really do not like the abundant "gills" both on the sides of the front facia and the inserts of the side scoops. Rear cover...well..yeah. Only thing I like there is the center exhaust.

Roush on the other hand...clean front facia....nice skirts with side exhaust... Although I will admit I'm not the biggest fan of their rear cover either...

                        Matter of opinion...
