I'm not sure if the tranny being hydro matters or not, but beings only obd1 and up cars had electric ones i'm supposing it has to be...i'll even buy a whole DX tranny (as long as the speedo worked when tranny was pulled)...Just as long as it's $25 or less anything works...Thanks!

and for the n00bs: VSS = vehicle speed sensor

I checked my grounds and couldnt find anything that would cause my VSS to not work...so i just want another one 🙂

Is fuse 15 blown in the in vehicle fuse box?
Do you have a CEL or any codes?
Have you checked the ground at the thermostat housing?

Quick question...are Honda VSS's interchangeable? I need a new one and am wondering if one from a Civic would work in my car. If so, I need one asap!

i dont think they are interchangeable between H/F series trannies and civic ones, but i could be wrong. I think the part itself fits, but i think it will deliver a bit different reading in MPH.
