no it does this becasue i have the rev limiter set on a hard ignition cut where ever i want it.... i set it to 4k for this, maybe that was when i set it to 2 k
so it approaches redline... and it cuts spark.... still dumps fuel, which doesnt get burnt.... but when the igniton comes back online then all the fuel in the exhaust ignites
i can set a hard or soft cut on the ignition or fuel

so that if i hit the rev limiter while in full boost there is no way for there to be a chance of a lean condition in the engine......... fuel will alway be there no matter what, just not spark.
where if i cut fuel at rev limit instead of spark.... there could be a chance of lean mixtures in the combustion chamber and lead to something i dont want happening
