Is it the turbo model, if not you might want to be careful boosting it. NA models generally have higher compression engines in them.

      Current Cars:
08 Honda Ruckus - Stunt Machine
      93 Subaru Impreza L - DD/ Winter beater
90 Honda CRX - Project car
      90 Honda CRX Dx - Burnt (R.I.P.) - Racecar

      Past Cars: 85 Chevy C-10, 87 Dodge D-50, 91 Honda Prelude Si, 91 Buick Regal, 91 Acura Integra Ls, 87 Mazda RX-7, 90 Honda Civic Si, 91 Honda Civic Si, 89 Chevy S-10, 91 Honda Crx Hf, 91 Acura Integra Rs, 95 Subaru Impreza L, 92 Acura Integra GSR, 89 Mazda RX-7 (LT1), 88 Mazda RX-7, 92 Civic Cx, 87 Mazda RX-7 TII

That is correct, unless it is a 7/89, that would make it a 1990

Ok so ive looked just about everywhere i can for a turbo or two for my 89 300ZX but can't find one. Does anyone know where i could find a whole twin turbo kit for it?Is it a z31 (84-89) or is it a z32 (90-96) This would be very helpful. There is no "turbo kit". for these cars.

It's a Z31. You could use factory parts to make it a stock style setup.

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

You'd need everything from a TT ECU, exhuast manifolds, oil feed lines, intercooler with piping etc etc etc...Trust me buddy, your best bet is to just drive it the way that it is, and later on down the road, buy something better...Unless you still want to talk about dropping in an SR20 or maybe, if it fits, an RB26...granted that engine would cost as much as your entire car...

                                    And Z31, it IS a Z31...89 NA Z31...AUTOMATIC if I may add...

IMO i'd do a full engine swap to a stock turbo one, it'd be safer and more reliable that way. I know people that have done NA -> TII swaps in FC's and they turned out great.

The Z32 engine is huge compared to the Z31 engine that's in there. There would be so many clearance issues. That would be like me trying to put a 6G72TT in the venge...Just to big. I say RB26 All the way...
