So I was finishing up putting in my harness's today and i got to the passenger one and started to unbolt the brackets so i could put the lap belt in for the harness. I started to bolt it all back together and i stripped out the left rear bracket.... So now I cant bolt the seat down and i cant finish up putting the belts in!!! What a night!! Any advice on what to do with the stripped out thing!! I dont own a tap so i couldnt retap the whole thing!! Any advice?? I know there is a lot of non technical terms in here...

you can try, but i can almost garranty that you will regret it later when you go to remove it. trust me, i have done it in the past (when i started fixing cars as a profession) and learned my lesson. You'll have a much harder time removing the broken bolt in that hole than to rethread the hole.

Drill it out larger and put a nut underneath the car. Then weld the nut to the car. That is if you can get to it.

Did you strip out the bolt or the threads on the car?

If you chewed up the threads on the car, a tap probably won't help unless you drill it out to the next size up and tap it larger. You could also use a helicoil on it.
