These are some of the cars from UTI's super street and Hot Rod U programs. The pics were taken with my phone so not the best quality. These cars have a fair amount of mods on them and they never get driven on the street just on the dyno. it's not right.
number? like specs? no just pics but i could find out after a while. i don't know much about supra but the engine bay looks very clean and it's a twin turbo. sounds nice.
I know I thought the same thing they have like 15 imports in there all modded and they drive them to the next building to have them dyno tested and then drive them back. And yeah that GTO has a the turbo by the back bumper. kinda weird i thought.
^ they make kits like that for corvettes. Thing is you loose a could psi because of all the plumbing to the intercooler up front, but it cools the air even better and is an actual gain to horsepower over the normal set up....also you dont really know that it's turbo'd till u hear it spool.
sts rear mount kits ussually dont have a front mount. IIRC they just go directly to the TB or have a water to air intercooler. The discussion on whats best could go on forever. You can tell its turbo when you see the air filter where one of the exhaust tips is suppose to be.
^ I meant when you're looking under the hood there's no turbo...most people dont look under the car for something. I'm pretty sure they had an IC in a corvette that some show installed the kit on tv, but it was on a long time ago so I might be wrong.
Thse kits lose like 2psi but cool the air better than an "in the bay" type turbo set up. The vid of the guys setting up the twin turbo corvette had a front mount not too far from the throttle body maybe like 1 ft away. Ill try and find it.
Yeah, I went throught the Minnesota AAA competition and won a small scholarship to go to the Glendale Heights campus. I have been kicking myself in the rear for 7 years for not going.

Yes, good auto class, Mr. Miller was kinda goofy though.
LOL! But he is probably the best auto teacher in the state. even though he did not approve of me or spanishrice's cars and what was done to them:icon_scratch: even my jeep.
He definately didn't approve of cheeching in a car right before pulling it into the shop. Tobacco only of course.
