CL overheating issue
-
So, my Acura 2.3 CL tempature gauge climbs almost into the red when I'm sitting at stop lights or in drivethrus a majority of the time. As soon as I start moving again it drops back down to a normal level. I haven't seen any coolant leaks or puddles, and the coolant level is normal. Any clues at too what the problem is? thanks.

Sounds like the cooling fan isnt turning on. Check some fuses.

If your car is cooling correctly while driving, it is not a major issue.... usually. first thing i would check is fuses, then for relays, if those are all good a look at the fan itself. i am unsure if that car has a temp switch, id immagine that a car that new may be controlled (on and off) by the car computer, but if there is a fan switch/ temp switch that may be an issue also. what i would do after checking fuses and relays is disconnect the fan and test it with a direct wire to battery and see if it goes. hope that helps. :icon_thumright:
