well I have to give CMK a call this evening...

I was in Fargo at about 7pm and my phone kept switching between the usual 1x and EV....

maybe it's closer than expected?

i was told that evdo will be in fargo on october 4th or so (coming from a phone person at best buy)...thats just what i've heard rumor'd tho

I have had EVDO ever since I got my sprint phone last year....

Yeah, thats odd. I don't think my RAZR or E815 has gone to EVDO yet.

I've been getting EV in Fargo most of the time now, but I also have managed to switch to EV back home where a year ago I hardly got any reception.

I think it is. I have not gotten EVDO at all in either of my phones.

well that's what I was told at Cell Comm today.. sometime in October. 'Supposedly' they've been testing things and that's why I see EV sometimes (and the Razr2 I was looking at was bouncing between EV and 1x).

If so, I'm going to be half tempted to look at a smart phone of some sort instead...

alltel/sprint have had evdo for over a year now....

verizon just sucks

if your still looking for internet service in the DL area....just go to alltel and get a air card...it about the same speed as DSL and works anywhere your cell phone works.. ...cost $60 a month though.

EVDO went live in Fargo today for sure. I noticed that right before lunch today.

Did a speed test and got 750k/sec down to my phone.

I noticed I had it temporarily here (but I don't expect to get it all the time out here) the same I've had it for the last couple weeks.

The "official" launch is October 4th... The coverage will cover the follow city/areas... Whapeton, Fargo, Valley City, Grand Forks, and most of I-29 throughout the Red River Valley!!

It will all run off of the same towers that all the cities have now... All they did was upgrade the service and tower technology in those chosen citys where the market is the highest...
