Get a clutch off the internet. I'm sure the Probe forum boards have awsome group buy sales.

For instance the Integra forum I hang out on got a group buy and I ended up paying $85 bucks for a Exedy clutch kit.

Just do what I do. Instead of shopping around, I just find a shop that treats me good and stick with them. I'll spend and extra 5-20 bucks to know that I have gotten treated well. Usually the prices don't vary all that much locally anyway.

besides, if the shop guys get to know that they're your first stop when you need something, they'll go that extra mile for something they don't usually carry or give you excellent deals.

I can hook you up w/ a ACT for a pretty good price. Shoot me the part # of the clutch you were interested in.

His shop has already sold me parts and most if not all of the employees treat me well. He runs his business his own way, and might I add it seems to be sucessful!
Wes, I totally agree with you on that and most of the time, the shop I care for has the best prices.

Z64-HDOO is the kit(i think thats it). Sleeper MX6 has a disc that was installed incorrectedly and the springs got a little worn down. He bought a new disc and he wants to know if I want the old one. I could just go with a 2100 pressure plate and a release bearing maybe if that will be cheaper. PM me prices.

the shop your talkin about is pretty obvious and the counter people are assholes if your car isnt real nice or whatever. especially about domestics.

I'd like to hear the name of the shop...keeps the rest of us from wasting our time. Maybe they'll learn some customer service skills.

Take it to PM if you want to know the name, I'm sure most of the regulars here have concluded that they know who is being referred to and since there is always two sides to every story it is best if the shop is not mentioned by name if for no other reason to avoid drama. So again, if you really need to know, ask him by PM. This should by no means be viewed as me supporting either his claim or the shop...like I said, two sides to everything, just a brief explanation of why they should not be mentioned by name.

Well I am sure the other side of the story is something like " I am a lazy ass bitch and this kid has no money, so I dont want to waste my time with him because he wont buy anything anyways"

And whats so funny is that us domestic people have just as much money as the import people do. I went in there a couple of months ago to start pricing out some rims. Needless to say I told them what kind of car I drive and they said they don't have any that fit my car when I know damn well they do. The extent of me going there now is to pick up my buddy when he is having stuff done to his car(03 Civic). There the reason why the "scene" hasnt picked up as fast up here as everywhere else.
