I didn't start this thread to bash any shops, so don't get me wrong. It's Just that everytime I go in there, they look at me like I dont have a Credit Card in my pocket, and that I dont want to buy anything at all. The retail business is full of this shit and unfortunatly it probably always will be. I believe I talked to Jason, But I'm not sure. He's the one who runs the counter, so thats my assumption. I wa stold by a friend the very same day to go there instead of one other shop because they had a better price than that. I know that they are the largest and grossing the most revenue in this town, but treating people like that is not acceptable by my standards. No one else should judge the shop because of an experience I had, but I definitly will. I figured there was some other people who are fed up with the shit that comes out of the mouth behind the counter, so I posted this.No shop war needed, no drama needed, I rarely even have time, or wish to bother responding to this, but I got a free minute and think some stuff needs to be addressed. #1 I manage this store, and Shane owns it so if a customer EVER feels that they are not treated with proper respect, or that they are 'shunned' when they come in they need to let one of us know. Our personal cell phone numbers are listed on our business cards and we are available for issues of this nature any time of the day or night. As far as you calling and getting treated poorly, I can't say who it was or what the reasoning was, but to address the issue I personally apologize. You did not talk to me (Jason), cause I am the one who helped with the order of clutch for your buddy.... And I am well aware of our account with ACT... Regardless I apologize for a bad experience with tintmasters. Being there seems to be multiple posts that 'this shop' doesn't do anything with domestics, I guess I would like for any and all of you to swing by and see what we do on a semi regular basis, and at this exact moment we are working on a turbo kit for a Firebird.... I would have to say if someone came into the shop and asked me personally for a edelbrock double pumper 750 with twin exit niner's I would say sorry I cannot help you. It isn't because I DON'T WANT TO HELP YOU, but rather I feel that the gentlemen at Performance Auto, or elsewhere in town would be better suited for it. If I was out to make a dollar everytime a customer came in I would sell you your double pumper as we are an authorized Edelbrock dealer.... I just forsee that you would be better off dealing with someone more educated, and able to offer superior tech help than I/we would. As stated over and over and over and over everyone has the right to shop where they want, yourself included, so if this experience has caused you to never want to step foot in this door again, that is OUR loss and hopefully wherever you shop in the future treats you well. Nothing personal from my/our standpoint, I just won't allow things to go on and on and on on the drama section of this forum without at least commenting. Bottom line, I apologize if this happened to you, and hope in future you will give us an oppurtunity to serve you right.

Very well written Jason and very mature for not starting a big pissing match about all of this. You (nor I) know exactly what was said and/or why. You can't please all the people all of the time. Joel, I don't blame you for posting to vent a bit, glad you didn't post the name of the shop in the original post and sorry to hear that whoever you spoke w/ couldn't/didn't help you.

He did? Didn't know that.....I never worked there.
I helped out with the GF car show years ago.....that was about it.
BTW Jason good post, I was curious why you guys wouldn't work on domestics, as a matter of fact I remember Shane's main point on the purchase of his SRT-4 was to point out to customers that tintmasters DO work on domestics.

That is correct, and now he has a 2005 Magnum.... Domestic as well, so I feel bad that certain people get the impression that we WON'T work on domestics, there is just things that we are not educated enough to offer proper answers or suggestions on certain domestics....

http://www.fargostreet.com/tintmasters/as nice of a layout that is, you guys should seriously consider....a bit more sophisticated layout, including web catalog, checkout, inventory details linked to your back office system etc, etc.
No offense, but when I see that kind of website, I don't think professionalism, but then again I'm more use to designing/creating much more sophisticated and professional atmospheres, whether it be networking, web design, or anything technical related. My goal is to create functionality with professionalism, we have some of the best web designers out in the local F-M area, I would love to come over sit down and show you some of our previous work.
BTW: You can only get so far with WYSIWIGS there Jim, I can definately tell that it was primarily done all with the use of Dreamweaver and frames. A little HTML coding and flash programming would be something good to learn if you plan on becoming a developer. Please check out out website http://www.extantsolutions.com or e-mail me ([email protected]) and look at our previous developments that we have created to show you true professional work done in the local F-M area.

just to name a few.....we have much more intricate systems that can link with an inventory catalog of your shop as well. Where you can update your catalog as you see fit.

Look drake, you cock of to everybody that walks. You act like your shit don't stank and really nobody gives one fuck about you.
You think your so professional; you think your such a badass.
All you do is lie lie lie and everybody fucking knows it. Where's fargostreet 2? Wheres the escalade? where are your timeslips for your "10 second" runs?
Yup nobody fucking cares and I dont like you.
Don't make another account here, unless you can't seem to stay away, like most of other banned users.

You know what drake here's whats more:
http://www.extantsolutions.com/
I'm SURE your so 1337; look at the bottom of those sites; they list that company as who designed it, not your name. Actually I don't see your name anywhere there either.
Where's your name?
http://www.extantsolutions.com/contactus.php
I dont see it
-
Honestly Drake you come on to MY website and tell me my shit sucks. What do you expect?
Fuck you.
I dont come on your site and say your shit sucks (prob does though, i highly doubt you did any of it). Stay off, or if you do come back, we all will know how much you love it here.
You seriously think my sites suck?
http://www.babytakes.net/index.htm
What the fuck is that... thats some quality work right there if I've ever seen it.
Where's your big ol' database driven catalogs there? Straight up HTML pages!
OH SHIT look what I found
<meta name="GENERATOR" content="Microsoft FrontPage 5.0">
<meta name="ProgId" content="FrontPage.Editor.Document">You made it in front page. Lame.
Flash programming? All i see is a lame Flash Intro, no real integration or "flash programming"
People make better flash intros in design class in highschool. What's more? You made it to look like a php - database driven website, but its STATIC! gay.
From all of these websites, I don't see any big dollar big company customers that you have. Show me some sites that you've done individually all by yourself, without the OTHER people at your work doing them. Haven't seen them yet, and I can't say im overly impressed with your 1337 work
-
So drake, what did you do to contribute to them sites? It's not like any of the layouts are much better then any other website. I'll admit, theyre pretty nice, but they mostly consist of just flash files that make it so spiffy. Ive dealed with flash to, but its been over a year so itd take me a few days to know what's going on, but if you know what the web designers are dealing with, it's really nothing to show off about, especially your sites(i said they were nice, dont jump on me here.) Like Jim also said, You're using a dreamweaver layout to, which I am also familiar with, and it is a very nice program for dealing with simple, local sites...which is what you are both making, right?
Jims already contracted with Tintmasters to make their site, I assume so because he showed me that layout from last December, or possibly even November so it's not big news to me.
