3am hail storm FTL

State Farm is having a drive thru type setup next week so I don't even get to know the cost on mine til then. If it's in the $1000 range though they'll probably just total my car...

not as bad as i thought.... we figure about %10 of the beans... might be worse though...can you imagine getting hit with one of those falling from the sky?... ouch
Then you got lucky. I'm still harvesting soybeans with a 235 John Deer Disc...
I had an ex girlfriend that got caught in a hail storm with her folks coming home from a fishing trip. Sounded like it was baseball + sized hail and it totally destroyed their pickup. One of her parents ended up with a lot of glass shrapnel, some in the eye IIRC. My ex had a divit on her thigh that was about the size of a softball (1/2" deep) that hadn't healed like 2 years after it had happened.

Have them total it, but the car back and put money in pocket.

Thats what I was planning if it comes to that.
Book is ~$5000, salvage title brings that down to $2500-3000 MAX. Damage is on hood, roof, both fenders, both doors. I'll take crappy pictures when I get home. Damn $500 deductible!

Hood? That is fiberglass. Is it cracked?
Remember that I do have a mint black SN95 hood sitting in the shed back home. Find me a mint hood and you can have this one.

getting my sti looked at tomorrow....got about ten dents in the hood, couple in the roof, one in the fender, one on the pillar above the doors.....probably going to be pretty expensive..
glad a friend of mine and his dad are certified to do PDR so i'll probably be making money on the deal anyways

wow sorry to hear of the misfortune troy and gsr... Throughout the day I have spoke with Luther Ford, Gateway Chevrolet and Nissan, and all got hit hard. Muscatall said they have damage on EVERY car on the lot except 3. Now is when I wish I knew how to do PDR!!!! We also got a call from the guys in GF that do "Pop a Dent" and they may be setting up shop here for the next few weeks doing PDR. If anyone is interested let me know and I will keep everyone posted if they do choose to set up shop here.

Paint chips in the hood, no dents.

yeah luckily my car was in my garage but my parents live way down south and randomly painted the garage floor a couple nights before so were foreced to park their cars outside and they got completely fucked ha

I looked at my car now, and I'm pissed. about 15 small ones on the hood, a REALLY nice one on the sunroof, about quarter sized and a few smaller ones on the roof, a new dent on my driver's fender and some tiny chips in my windshield. Any places to get paintless hail repair in town for a decent price?
