I think flag burning / desecration is dumb. I think laws making flag burning / desecration are dumber. If law makers think they're in the business of keeping dumb people from being dumb, they'll never be done writing more laws.

You have to understand where that Marine is coming from, he served our country, and put his life on the line for that flag, that probably really did hurt him to see the flag he so proudly served flown thatway. On the other hand maybe the mexican store owner didnt know that was both wrong and illegal, (hell if i can find them i have pictures of a flag flying UPSIDE DOWN!!!,, at a county social services building!!!!!) and deserved to be spoken to like a human before his flags were cut down. although if it is proven that he did it as a statement than hes a shitbag.
