    i picked up a mint body 97 eclipe non turbo for $300 and want to put a 4g63 in it... what is all needed besides motor tranny ecu.. i have never seen this done befor

    2001 GSX-R 1000- one wheel wonder
    1976 Chevy K5- lifted beater
    1995 240sx- DDD, daily driven drifter
    1995 Eagle Talon- wire tuck,shaved bay.. project in the works
    2006 Honda CRF50-stunt machine
    1993 Eagle Talon tsi-5spd swap,wire tuck, holset hx35. on E85...SOLD
    2000 Ford F250 7.3L powerstroke...SOLD

      Engine bays are nowhere near the same from the 420A to the 4G63. Custom mounts are going to need to be made and more then likely welded into the chassis to mount that motor/trans. You may even need to modify the subframe to clear as the 4G63 mounts 180 degrees opposite opposed to the 420A.

        Build a wicked 420A, I've seen a few turbo'd ones and they're quick. Plus it will probably cost less than trying to swap in a 4g63

          thanx for your help i think me might do a rwd set up on it. cant let it go to waste

            I think the best thing to do would be to put a good motor/tranny in it, and sell it, then use your profits to buy the car you really want.

                  didnt the GS have a N/A 4g63 and the RS had a 420a? which do you have?

                  no race car? becuz homeowner...

                    2g didn't get a N/A 4g63, the 1st gen did though.

                      i think the rs and coupe gs' got the 420a and the conv gs got a 2.4 i could be wrong though the gs might have the 2.4 also

                        yeah, the spyder gs got a 4g64 n/a.
