the "shotgun" rule

alright well me and a couple friends got in a argument about calling shotgun...haha

now i want your opinion on which on you think it is.

Choice A:
you must wait until everyone is outside of a building or car including driver to call shotgun.

Choice B:
you may call shotgun when everyone that is eligible to call it is out side. meaning that the driver can still be inside.

I never went by where the driver was. They can't call shotgun, so they shouldn't matter as long as everyone else is out.

ive always played by whoever calls it first when the driver is outside regardless of everybody being outside or not. i also like to play free for all but that can end with blood being spilt.

Driver has to be outside to call it. Driver has to be the only person who hears it. Driver can override anything and has final ultimate say. Period.

Correct. You do have to be in view of the vehicle though.
