    if the manifolds are cracked, and cast. you can't weld them. SLS might have one, I know he has lots of DSM parts. if not just buy a header of ebay! lol.

      you can weld them! iv done it befor and it works just fine...

            You can weld cast iron...I believe u need to use nickel rod and really know what you're doing...my grandpa had told me how to do it one time, as he used to weld pretty much anything, but I forgot...

              are you tig welding or stick. if tig i think some ni-rod 99 filler should work.

              preheat to a good temp, then weld up crack, then stick it in a bunch of sand to allow it to cool very slowly.

                    thought the key to cast was fast and cool, rather than slow and hot. but maybe i am mistaken, my grandpa also told me how to do it along time ago. he use to be a certified welder and as been the head welder in many buildings that have been erected during the 1950's.

                      well if you do not pre heat the cast and then also try and cool it fast, you can acually hear the peice crack, sounds like little poping noise.

                          does sls have headers or just the stock manifolds because I looked on ebay and all I can find is stock... I would like to get aftermarket headers at a decent price....

                            You can weld it with nickel rod. But, it will not last and start to crack right from where the weld ends. Been there and done that.

                              thanks man. I got a friend that can weld like theres no tomorrow and might have him weld it up for the time being but wanna know if I can get a nt header somewhere for a decent price... don't wanna spend alot of money!!!!

                                if you drill small holes right were the crack starts and stops it should never crack again if welded properly. you just need to make sure you stoped the crack from being able to start up again.
