Leaving a car on stands

I was just wondering if there's anything bad about leaving a car on jack stands for a long period of time...like a few months at a time...

If you really care about it, I would put something else between stands and body/frame. Then put would up under the tires or susp. to take strain of the susp. Other then that if its properly stored no. Make sure to do anti Mice stuff.

Ok...The only reason why I ask is cause pretty much the whole suspension and everything will be off of the car so I cant really have it on the ground, and I barely ever get down to work on it so it usually sits for long periods of time....what about doing it the ghetto way and using some shitty wheels and tires as stands, beings it would be a larger surface area for it to rest on?

get a piece of plywood or something and set it between the rims and the car. Thats my opinion

ok...i'll have to do that...it has been setting on stands already for quite a while...but I plan on moving it to a heated shop this week, instead of out in a snowbank, lol
