I've had Alltel since I moved back here 4 years ago, haven't had one problem or complaint with service. Also have the E815 and charging it sucks but one charge lasts a week so it is tollerable.

I have Alltel and can't think of a good reason to change. They have everything I want in a phone...good price, good coverage.

Take a toothpick and clean the contacts in the charging connector

Isn't alltel a verizon MVNO in this area?

I looked at alltel-U prepaid but it was way more than t-mo-2-go so i went with the latter.

im getting frustrated with verizon becuase every phone ive ever had from them has needed to be replaced at least three times each and their customer service bothered me everytime. i also pay 100 dollars a month for 900 minutes and asked about a plan with less minutes being as i dont use that many and they said for 85 total i could have 400. its just to expensive for how frustated i get everytime i have to deal with their service.

alltel seems like a good cost effective alternative, hows the texting/picture messaging between alltel and other providers? i know with vzw i had problems getting/sending pix with others

I have two phone numbers, split 1200 minutes between them and have unlimited data and text messaging for $130.

I've had a few problems getting picture messages with Alltel, but it could just be my phone. Regular texts send and receive just fine. I've got two phones with shared 1200 (or maybe its 1000) minutes and 10 My Circle numbers between both and I think it's like $79.99 a month. I also added 1000 texts to my line for an extra $10 a month.

The only thing about My Circle is that you have to step up to a certain number of minutes to get it - meaning you have to have a more expensive plan to have it. I think the most minutes we've used total has been like 500 because calls to the people we talk to most is free.
