I have a friend who's ex beat the living fuck out of him for not driving her home drunk until he held her down by her wrists and made her stop. She called the cops and they took a look at the red marks on her wrists and hauled the fucking wife beater off to jail. Meanwhile she drove herself home, drunk, and nailed a lightpole. It wasn't until they showed pictures of his bruised ribs, bleeding face, and fucked up nose, along with several witnesses saying she kicked the crap out of him until he had to defend himself that they decided he was a salvageable human being and didn't need any more time in the can. So things aren't always as they seem. That being said, I would like to hear the story.

North Dakota prisons are a fucking joke. cass county jail is far worse then Jamestown and Bismarck prisons

Dude you have like 15 different things on your rap sheet. I'd say you should probably start being a more responsible person in general. Even if you didn't do anything to this chick its still on your record, and any respectable company is gonna do a background check on you if you wanna get a good job.

Actually, the most common arrests for domestic assaults are simple and aggravated.
The only real standard for a simple assault (whether during a domestic or otherwise) is that the victim feel some kind of pain. So slapping, punching, kicking all qualify as a simple assault provided they caused some kind of discomfort....even between husband/wife or boyfriend/girlfriend (or boyfriend/boyfriend if you're into that sort of thing....).
You can up the ante by using a weapon, breaking a bone, or causing someone to lose conciousness which would bump you up to an aggravated assault. A guy breaks his wife's nose in a fight and he goes to jail for domestic/aggravated assault. He punches her in the arm and leaves a mark, he goes for domestic/simple assault.
Sorry....kinda off topic there but relevant none-the-less. I'm such a nerd......
