This video was done by PowerTV and is not directly affiliated with ENEOS. The synthetic oil used second on the test shows a silver top to the bottle with a big mouth, which I assume is Mobil 1 (a quick Google image search of "Mobil 1 synthetic oil" proved that). Here is some raw data for everyone....thought some of the big HP guys would appreciate it, as well as those that want the best oil on the market for ANY car.

i would really consider running this in my car..... but i have to change my oil as soon as it gets dirty.... so i would rather dump $20 in a pan rather than $90 every 300-500 miles

Yeah I looked around on the internet and this stuff is like $10 a quart, which is a few dollars more than Royal Purple.

Royal Purple doesn't hold a candle to Eneos.

For comparison sake, here are some charts on other oils...unfortunately Eneos is not on that list as they are still new to the US market.

Most oils get dirty at 1000 miles. That's the oil doing part of it's job... cleaning. An engine functions as a detergent along with a lubrication. Just because it looks dirty doesn't mean that it's unsafe to use or that it stops protecting. That's one of the biggest misconceptions about oil.

So Parker, are you chaning it every 1000 miles if it gets dark?

What he said ^^ The only time you "need" to change your oil early is during the initial break in period. I personally like to change my oil 2x by 1000 miles...then every 8500 after that.

I'll just keep pouring Wal-Mart Synthetic 5w-30 into my truck every 3,000 miles and 10w-30 every 3,000 in the Mustang.

Your oil can never be to clean. Especailly while breaking in a motor. Also, numerous machine shops and engine builders have told me not to run synthetic in the first 5000miles.

                    PM me for:
                    Sandblasting(I use glass beads)
                    Diesel repairs or performance products.

I agree that it is a very good oil, and anyone that was big into bikes and quads knows Nippon is a very reputable name. But there is no way in hell i would pay $10 a quart for a engine that takes 6 quarts of oil. On a bike, sure, its only 1 quart or so.
Also, you guys that are using royal purple, that is one of the WORST oils i have ever encountered. You should see the nasty purple sludge that shit leaves in your motor. Especially in turbo cars, it ruins turbos, plugs up everything, and is generally just shit, quit using it. And no, these werent isolated incidents, it was happening to alot of people on the boards.

Wow that is very interesting information. I'd like to learn more about it... I tried searching on google but didn't find anything other than those that didn't like it for personal reasons....nobody had any pictures to show carnage or sludge build up.

who sponsored that show? im not skeptical, ive known that was crazy stuff for a while, but i hate how every time there is a crazy review of some new product, they also sponsor the show, so it gives you a little doubt anyway.

As far as sponsoring the show...it was PowerTV, which I guess I cannot say either way if they were paid to do it or not?!?

The forum listed with the Royal Purple incidents is interesting. We at the shop have used it for over 5 years with no issues and we all were previously Mobil 1 users. There are a few factors that can contribute to 'sludge' build up, and I am not sold on RP being the sole factor. The day I see one of our shop cars, or customers cars with this build up and can prove that the RP is the issue, that will be the day it is pulled from our shelf!

As far as ENEOS goes, well I simply don't have any reason to believe it isn't the best of the best. I know it certainly outperforms RP, Mobil 1, etc...

What bikes are you running that take 1 quart of oil? I know my 50 takes 1 quart, but my sportbikes take 4. Also, ENEOS is no good for wet clutch vehicles, so, no to 90% of sportbikes.
