Black hood on any color car is hot..Says El Ricer.
Alot of people that do that remind me of someone that was too fuckin cheap to paint an aftermarket hood. Same goes for the roof, trunk, fenders, etc. If it was CF, that'd be a different story. If it was sooo L33t, then why doesnt Ferrari, Porsche, Lambo do that on their ultra st00pah stupendous cars? Or anybody else these days for that matter?

The only color I would ever consider is black. No I would not paint the hood, a pillars or above the windshield. The reason I would go black is because...
- Black makes it appear smaller. The white Hardtop looks too big for the car, and just looks a goofy.
- Black is the color of the FACTORY soft top. obviously mazda thought it looked with a black top, as does everyone else. Putting a black hardtop on would be refining the look of the factory soft top, IMO.
The only reason I would paint it white right now is because of the resale value.

Mazda offered the hard top as an after build option for someone purchasing a Miata and kept them black to keep manufacturing costs down. It had nothing to do with it matching the factory soft top color. What about the tan soft tops? It never came on the car as from the factory itself. It was a dealer offered option. Do some more homework man. As far as resale value, your right about the resale value being higher with color matched body parts. What do you suppose the reason for that is?
It's painfully obvious that you have had your mind made up before you even made this thread and just want to accepted in everyone elses eyes and need further justifcation in making this decision. Man, just do what YOU like. There's no way I'm leaving a decision like that to anybody but myself.

LOL, I don't think you get what im saying.... The car came with a SOFT stop that is black. I don;'t get what your saying about black hard tops from the factory. The hard tops were offered colormatched only. I was pointing out the fact that the car has a black soft top and it looks ok...

I also said that they made a tan soft top for them. (even white cars had em). Paint the thing tan, black, pink, purple, little rainbows, a bunch of dicks, pictures of your ex gf on there. I could give two shits what you do. You wanted an opinion, and you got it (with sensible reasoning for the opinions). You seem to think you need to justify it further... you don't. Just leave it black for fuck sakes. It's what you want to do anyway. You'll be accepted just fine in your jellybean no matter what you do.
