FWIW, I thought that this would maybe help those in the show who aren't real experienced at the whole car show scene get a few extra points. I wrote this from a judges point of view:

If I can offer some advice to any of the competitors it is this:

    A. Have your mod list handy. Not all of us can differentiate which motors/parts are not original to any given car. I'm admittedly not a Honda guy, I can recognize a K-swap (and of course a turbo kit) but may overlook a B-series swap because I just didn't recognize it as not being stock to that car.

    B. Be available for judges but don't be overbearing. Ask if there is anything they would like to know about the car and maybe point out one or two key things but don't point out your damn painted interior or aftermarket wheels. We can see that stuff.

    C. Cover as many aspects of the points schedule that you can. This is of course varies slightly from show to show, but the general criteria is all the same:
1 Initial Appearance (does the car grab your attention?)
2 Engine/Undercarriage (Is it clean, has it been modded, etc...)
3 Body (Is it in good shape, does it shine/pop, does it have a kit, etc...)
4 ICE (Does it have a system in it? Is it well done? Etc...)
5 Interior (Is it clean, is it modded, etc...)

Cover those 5 aspects of a show car as best you can and you will find yourself winning more car shows than not....

A nice typed up mod list in some sort of order is always good. A book with pictures always helps too. Heck, i use a 40x32 cad sheet for my mod list.

This is great advise to people entering. i know last year i spent almost an entire week getting my car ready, and i also had a lot of help from gsr_ek getting me tools to finish up loose ends and goldyhatchpsi for REALLY making my car PoP.

this is a big show and tintmasters is puting one hell of an effort to make memorable for everyone. so please take your time and make your entry, stock/modded/whatever, looks like it was meant to be there, in the end its worth it. it would be a shame to see a half assed build in a line a cars that are ridiculously clean.
